I'm Alistair, and I love sharing my beautiful homeland with visitors. As an enthusiast for all things Scottish I am deeply rooted in Scotland and open to the world.    

 

I was born and educated in Scotland and have lived here most of my life; I have also lived, studied and travelled extensively abroad. I trained as a Blue Badge Tourist Guide after a career in school teaching and 16 years as Head of a prestigious and historic Edinburgh school. I am an accredited member of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association, qualified to guide in English and German.

 

Edinburgh is my home - I specialise in city tours of Scotland's capital and in exploring the East Coast and Borders of Scotland. I also love guiding in Stirling and the Trossachs, Glasgow, the West Coast and the Highlands and Islands.
